First is our creation of Voltz Protocol, a non-custodial Automated Market Maker for Interest Rate Swaps. The protocol is around 3,000x more capital efficient than alternative models, has been blessed by Uniswap Governance, and led to a large Seed round at the end of 2021. Interest Rate Swaps are a core pillar of any well-functioning financial system - there’s a whopping $1,000 trillion of notional traded per annum in TradFi IRS. Put simply, if Interest Rate Swaps don’t exist in DeFi, then DeFi will never become the financial system for the whole of the world. So we’re building it.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Head of Business Development to join our exceptional team. You’ll be responsible for driving our growth efforts with crypto hedge funds and market makers, alongside driving partnerships with other protocols / builders in the web3 ecosystem. In the medium term, you’ll also start to engage with regulated institutions as we expand the offering on Voltz Protocol.

Your key responsibilities

  • Build and manage our business development pipeline with two core categories of users - crypto trading firms/market makers and other protocols/builders in the web3 ecosystem.

  • Develop educational resources that help partners understand the opportunities associated with Voltz Protocol and support them through the onboarding process such that they can get live sooner

  • Develop deep relationships with other protocol teams and builders in the web3 ecosystem to help them integrate Voltz Protocol into their products, contributing to the growth and stability of the ecosystem

  • Develop relationships with regulated institutional clients as we look to expand the product offering at Voltz

  • Be commercially minded and extremely output orientated - we must keep growing at a rapid rate, we don’t have any time that can be lost on inefficient processes

  • Be extremely detailed and analytically driven

  • Work closely with your fellow Voltz Labs colleagues, providing feedback from partners whilst involving key colleagues in the sales/onboarding process at the right time.

The minimum qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in growth or a similar role

  • Track record of managing sales a sales pipeline and developing partnerships to accelerate growth

  • Passion for web3/crypto or a willingness to develop expertise in the space

  • Self-motivated and adaptable with high standards of excellence

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Qualifications that make your application stronger

  • Deep understanding of financial services, particularly fixed income and derivatives

  • Experience in growing a Web3 or DeFi product
