Your mission
Composable Finance is seeking a passionate Business Development (BD) and Growth expert in the Web3/Crypto space to become a key part of our journey in Asia as Partnership Director as we continue to expand globally. The ultimate goal of this role is to lead the charge in growing out Composable Finance’s overall presence and marketing across Asia. Specifically, the Head of Asia - Partnership Director role will work closely with Developer Relations (Dev Rel) and other key teams within our organization to conduct industry research and subsequently provide tailored marketing, outreach, and services to developers and users within Asia.
Your profile
Responsibilities:

 

• Conduct market research on the state of the DeFi market in Asia in order to understand current options/opportunities, shortcomings, and user needs and tendencies within the region.
  • This includes analyzing other companies and how they are able to create branding and outreach initiatives to promote Growth and Strategic Partnerships in Asia.
  • Example: Understand the growth and development of Cardano in Asia, and analyze BD/Growth strategies used for successful expansion.
• Tailor marketing tactics to specific interests, needs, and media channels of the region, based on the aforementioned market research.
  • This includes written content (blogs, social media posts), video content, and in-person content such as participating in or even hosting events/conferences within the region.
• Conduct developer interviews to understand unique developer needs in this region, working closely with Developer Relations.
• Develop innovative outreach strategies for key partnerships in the space, again working with Developer Relations and leveraging the aforementioned market and developer research.
• Develop an in-depth overall BD strategy for Composable Finance’s products and tokens, leveraging key industry players within Asia.
• Manage business development with a primary focus on driving integrations with the Composable Ecosystem. This includes:
  • Overseeing technical integrations, synchronizing with the Head of Strategy and Head of Product.
  • Overseeing the growth of Composable’s Business Development team within Asia.
  • Overseeing relationships with various Asia-based venture studios that can be coached by Composable to utilize our technical stack.
  • Overseeing relationships with various Asia-based TradFi organizations - both for our Ecosystem Fund and for eventually utilizing our Cross-Chain Virtual Machine (XCVM).
  • Developing and maintaining key partnerships with developers, infrastructure, and tooling partners, working together with the Head of Product to generate business development opportunities.
  • Pitch projects developed by Composable Finance to investors and other stakeholders.
     

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of the DeFi space and blockchain technology.
• Experience in a similar Business Development/Growth Role.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
• Ability to confidently moderate/facilitate discussions among technical and non-technical groups.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working directly within blockchain/crypto spaces.
• Start-up mentality, with a hands-on approach and willingness to go above and beyond.
• Interested in the Polkadot Ecosystem.
