Sorare is trusted by a world-class team of investors including Softbank, Benchmark, Accel Partners, athletes such as Serena Williams and Kylian Mbappé, and key tech investors such as Alexis Ohania - all who believe in the future of integrating NFTs with Gameplay.

As the General Manager of Sorare: NBA (GM), you are responsible for leading this newly launched, fast-growing, and strategic business. The GM will lead a cross-functional team comprised of product, engineering, design, operations and more to define the business strategy, own and deliver the product roadmap, and set and achieve business results. The GM is expected to build and maximize the performance of the team and deliver on the milestones set out by the New Sport team and the company leadership team. This includes but is not limited to building and scaling the vision and product, executing on current projects and net new, creating demand, and scaling out the team cross-functionally.


The GM is responsible and accountable for defining and executing the business strategy and goals, product vision and roadmap, and operational optimization and strategy. The GM and the team will wake up each day, thinking about growing and improving the Sorare: New Sport experience, community, and business. 

  • Vision and strategy: Own the Sorare: NBA strategy and bring it to life. With your cross-functional team, execute on the ground deliverables to deliver near and long-term growth. The GM will need to quickly gain a deep understanding of Sorare’s platform, model, partnerships, community, and usage in order to lead and execute on the strategic direction
  • Team building: Build and scale a cross-functional team to support rapid growth. Direct management of product, game operations, marketplace operations, and project management. Cross-functional management of dedicated engineers, designers, content creators, marketers, analysts, and more
  • Team work: The GM is also responsible for leading Sorare: NBA across the broader Sorare company. This means working closely with the other Sorare General Managers and our Platform and Mobile teams. This requires a strong ability to lead, communicate, organize, and work as a team


  • Proven experience and success leading high-growth products and businesses. Experience managing a direct business and revenue line
  • Proven experience and success driving product experience and innovation. Must have a track record of managing product releases, definitions, and roadmaps and must have deep appreciation and understanding of product experience and consumer behaviors
  • Clear, proven ability to lead, recruit, manage and scale world-class, cross-functional teams
  • Broad range of functional experiences and interests: technology, product, operations and marketing
  • Great communicator, great leader. Demonstrated ability and interest in leading directly, cross-functionally, and across company
  • Must be high energy and excited about fast-paced culture and delivery
  • Must be a visionary thinker and leader - able to think about long-term growth and future experiences, while also balancing operational details, rapid delivery, and continual growth
  • Must be mission-oriented and passionate about Sorare, the sport, and our remarkable community of players
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills


The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Sorare ranges from $225,000 - $275,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
