Founding Backend Developer

🔭 What we're looking for

Zoltar is building the de facto testing environment for web3 teams. Web3 applications are becoming more complex in nature, and existing testing solutions are insufficient.

We want to empower Web3 teams to integrate and test smart contracts in a seamless way by providing the toolkits necessary to test complex scenarios natively in the Zoltar environment. This gives teams the confidence they need to deploy smart contracts to production.

We’re looking for individuals who have a strong understanding of web2 systems, Docker/Kubernetes, development best practices in order to define the tech stack for web3.

You’ll be working alongside the founding team of Zoltar and building a product from 0 to 1.

✅ Responsibilities

As a founding engineer focused on backend systems at Zoltar, you'll be working with one of the most sophisticated and high-throughput distributed systems in the blockchain world. You'll focus on architecting and building new systems as well as improving existing ones. Some of the responsibilities include the following,

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle of identifying, designing, and building new features
• Develop and own best practices for backend application development with a focus on high throughput, high reliability, and low latency
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack

👍 Qualifications

• 2+ years of Go/Rust experience (Preferred)
• 3+ years of experience working with AWS technologies
• 3+ years of experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, Golang, Bash
• Experience working with PostGreSQL
• Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining core backend software components (experience with API platforms a plus)
• Experience with production distributed systems, web applications, and microservice architecture
• Ability to solve complex design, scaling, latency, or performance problems in high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Proven track record building highly available and highly scalable systems
• Self-starter attitude and the ability to execute new ideas with autonomy

📚 Tech Stack

• Golang for all our backend services and CLI
• React / Next.js for the UI layer
• Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Amazon Web Services as cloud providers
• PostgreSQL
